Happy Four!

What made my four year?

I fell over, I baffled, I wandered, I procrastinated, I failed, I stumbled, I hated, I cried yet I arise and continue to choose love over hatred and resentment, I continue to be happy despite of all the miserable events, I stay with the one I love and I remain true to life no matter how challenging my everyday is.

The past four years wasn’t a trouble-free journey, I may have few regrets about this and that, things I should have done or done better but I have learned how to live and embrace every downfall no matter how throbbing things can be. I’m thankful for every single morning that I wake up and take breathes, I have so much to be grateful that none of those miserable times can put me down. I may not have everything now but that won’t stop me from enjoying life.

2013 wasn’t a grandiose year to account, I travel less because we need to set aside for a special project that didn’t really progress right, I was busy at work trying to figure out how to make it big, I was occupied with family issues left and right, I was emotionally unsteady for reasons I don’t know, well, maybe that was a part of being 40 and old, a minion to my own kinfolk and a dud to my own league. 😀 Yes, the ways to win my own battle is laugh, and give a real nice shot, dream big and love much!

My four lovely years of blogging and travels, and sundates, and shopping remains thee I love, oh these earthly things how can I resist? I pray for another sunny year of breakfast dates, and family times, and mommy-times to my two B’s.

Happy Birthday Blog, more to us! Let’s celebrate this summery month! ♥

national breakfast day 2014

Today is National Breakfast day and for that part McDonald’s had given away free McMuffin sandwiches this morning, unfortunately I missed it because it’s requires me to be up and early, a very hard condition if you’ll ask me especially on a Monday. Hehehe. Other than I remained to be the breakfast person, breakfast lover who hates waking in the early hours I created my own breakfast sandwich at home and wiped it before leaving for work today.

Have a brand new week everyone! 🙂

Ever since I cut on the meat and processed food I seldom get to taste corned beef, which is by the way one of my favorite breakfast items. But once in a while when home in Cavite I got to savor the beefy flavor of this canned goodie. I love Purefoods corned beef, the classic one, and dislike the imported brands because some looks like meat loafs and the others look mushy like dog food. Eww!  Anyway, there’s no corned beef battle here, this post is about the culmination of my Delimondo’s experience.

Last week, I chanced upon Delimondo cans in Rustan’s and took home a thrift pack to end my ever curious side. I shortly documented the cooking part #walangmagawa 😀

Prepare your Delimondo can, 1 big onion and 1 head garlic.

Open the can, contrary to a review I read somewhere it does not have the usual lard and all but its natural juices. So what do we have here? Maybe the difference is Delimondo cans are not so fatty filled.

Saute your onion and garlic, I usually set aside half of the onions (half-cooked) for garnishing. And pour the whole can of your ranch style corned beef. Add salt to season. I noticed the sad state of my pan here, not good enough for this shoot. 😦

Delimondo’s empty can, with lard on its bottom too.

Now, get a charming plate to add colors and for a picture perfect photo for IG purposes.

Delimondo corned beef is true to its name, delicioso and shredded to the right consistency. I’m convinced why this has become the favored brand now by many. With its top-choice ingredients, the imported ones are no match.

And like Iya of Bacon and Bangles I had pandesal (Pan de Amerikana’s) with it, it’s so good! And I had it for dinner and breakfast the other day.

My rainy night comfort food ♥

Now, I’m contemplating on my next Delimondo can, the Garlic and Chili variant. I’m planning to get a stash again over the weekend, some 260g of ranch style which I’ll save for the rainy days.

I’ll try do a corned beef hash next.

Happy Friday foodies, the weather forecast says it’s going to be a rainy weekend, stay warm and safe. ♥

date night: BHS, coffee, doughnuts

Because it’s either we’ve been too busy the past weekend or dog-tired after a work week, we skipped our usual Sunday date too many times (well, except for May 13). On my earlier post, I said that we have no plans about going out but any bustle outside would be much welcome. So, after Leoncio got “Alfred’s” new tires we drove to Boni High.

It’s been a while since we visited the place and we intentionally did it. You know how the place can get too crowded these days plus the fact that humans who frequent BHS tag along their four-legged bestfriend while shopping and dining here; I get jealous and poignant seeing them because I miss the many times we would bring Bea with us. She practically grew up visiting the green grounds of BHS. Read here.

Anyhow, Leoncio and I have come and despite the presence of canines everywhere I assume Bea couldn’t be happier where she is now and Tagaytay is now her favorite place to go.

Since it was nearly 6pm then, we decided to have snacks but ended with a very light dinner at a favorite coffee shop.

The frapuccino was perfect for the very humid weather. While Leoncio decided for corned beef pandesal, I had tuna.

Yes it’s me! Eating tuna spread now. The combination gave me a burp after, thank you Lord.

Thinking that it was too early to head home, we wander around BHS. Little did we know that the open place has expanded over the times we miss to visit? If you know Jamba Juice’s location, this is the area I am talking about.

In the heart of it was like a showground where you can hang out and people watch. And the water fountain was the main attraction.  Kids can’t get over it and grown-ups too.

I was attracted so many times with its changing colors, from green to blue to yellow to red. And asked Leoncio to give me a nice shot while the water seems to dance behind.

I don’t know how this part of BHS is called yet but I see myself visiting frequently again. Guess why? Yea, I would love to pay a quick visit soon as Cotton On opened its doors to the shopping public.

I’d love to join you Cotton On!

On our way back to the main grounds of BHS, we passed by R.O.X and Leoncio was itching to check out. We had a good time window shopping for footwear, hand carry bags and bikes. I was all the time wanting to buy something but get rid of the idea after considering the upcoming expenses this weekend. Sigh! I know I am going to get that pair soon.

You know how bold Leoncio can be at times, so he tried this walking challenge. He was able to cross the first try and never again.

Honey, it’s not a limbo rock. 🙂

After close to more than 10 attempts, he gave in.

On our way back to the parking area, I was humming about Krispy Kreme. Actually, we’re not big fans of this doughnut store but once in a while we’d love to try new things aside from the traditional. So, literally we didn’t get any of the old-style doughnuts. We decided to get half dozen of the assorted ones -P270.

This our box inclusion,

New York Cheesecake, my favorite amongst.

Caramel Kreme Crunch, Snickers Classic and White Chocolate Filled Doughnut with Kitkat

Oh, we miss out to order the Hershey’s flavored doughnut. 😦  Now, we have a justifiable reason to come back, di ba ney? 😛

We had a good time over the weekend, we break even between the bounteous of errands we have had and now we look to a brand new week. Have a bright one everyone! 🙂

Its official, his name is going to be “Alfred”!

week 12: Nutella

Sorry but I skipped another two weeks, week 10 and week 11. Anyway, week 12 is so delectable 🙂 . I wish I could have these jar weekly 🙂 .

week 9: Strawberry Jelly Stripes

Yesterday I was able to complete to-do-list No. 4, which was to visit the supermarket however; instead of going to The Landmark, we decided to buy the necessities at Hypermart (SM MOA) since we were already there. And part of my shopping basket is our pandesal filling for this week. Guess what I got?

Another favorite -Goober Peanut Butter and Strawberry Jelly Stripes!

Remember I started my week 1 with the same PB & J brand with a different variant, I wonder if Smucker’s Organic Peanut Butter is sold here in Manila. That is what I need to find out soon.

Have a great start of a brand new week fellas! 🙂
