The Month of the Heart of Winter

the new leaf of January is my Month!

Agave Mexican Cantina

I realize just now that during my friend Elaine’s short visit we had several pig-outs to document. One of which is Agave Mexican Cantina at Boni High. You know me I’m no drinker anymore but I needed to please this time so I booked our trip right away after her arrival at that day. I picked the place because Agave offers booze and food both and proceeding that day I promised her the taste of bottomless mojito and margarita. She was excited. 😛

On a Thursday night Agave was jam-packed, well, I don’t really go out on a weekday so that was unexpected for me. Anyhow, our group was famished and thirsty so we had our orders right away.

Service was quick at the beginning so it’s a plus point.

Elaine’s bottomless Classic Mojito P395.

And my bottomless House Margarita P295.

While the two of us gone bottomless, the guys ordered one round of booze only. Hehehe 😀

We ordered mostly appetizers, it looks good in print so we salivate in getting this set.

Bottomless Chips and Salsa P330 –crisp corn chips fried in-house. Served with your choice of salsa. I was interested to try guacamole but forgot to add it.

Mexican Cheese Quesadillas P375 (To Share)crisp on the outside, stuffed on the inside with Mexican cheese, Ranchero sauce, shredded lettuce and your choice of filling (we didn’t get any). Served with sour cream, guacamole and pico de gallo. Oh there’s the guacamole here!

Chipotle Buffalo Wings P355 –chicken wings and drummettes glazed in our tangy chipotle sauce. Served with cool Hacienda ranch for dipping. Available in mild and extra spicy.

Burrito P325 (To Share)a soft flour tortilla stuffed with refried beans, Mexican red rice, sour cream, Mexican cheese, fresh lettuce, pico de gallo and your choice of filling (we had Pork Carnitas). Served with chips and salsa and available in three styles: Classic, Toasted or Naked (served in a bowl without the tortilla). It’s obvious we got the Classic. 🙂

We’d counted; I had three refills of margarita while Elaine had five of her mojito’s. I told you I’m no drinker anymore. 😀

Overall Agave is a nice place to hang-out, the only downside is, the orders tend to get slower as the night progresses.

We had a good time, thanks for the photo share on facebook! 🙂

some says their corn tortillas are the authentic ones but i could distinguish and say it was, not until i get to dine in mexico perhaps, hehehe… i heart mexican people for bringing in the quesadillas.

yes, they have bottomless mojito (ask the crew to put little ice only, next time…)
