The Month of the Heart of Winter

the new leaf of January is my Month!

Coconut Cream Pie

I’ll take a little break off here on my Holy Week post and make you drool to something delectable that is.

Palm Sunday after attending mass at The Little Souls Sisters Convent we dropped by at the nearby coffee shop to try the Coconut Cream Pie which seems to give us a big wave (like Jollibee statuettes) everytime we’ll pass by. Finally, we gave in and visited and ordered ourselves slices of coconut cream pie.

Yes definitely not your usual coconut pie or rather buko pie from Colettes. 🙂

The Crust –toasty, sweet, sandy, crisp & coconut-flavored

The Filling –pastry cream with great texture & that honest, exotic, great coconut taste

Plus! –topped with whipped cream & dusted with toasted grated coconut

For me it’s foamy, I wish the filling is a little heavy. And unlike the regular buko pie, I can’t eat more than a slice of it because it made me light headed after. 😐

An absolute coffee pairing but with the very humid weather when we were there we skipped ordering a cup and had water only.

They also sell oatmeal cookies and chocolate crinkles for P10 each.

I just wish the staffs were more friendly and customer-oriented. It helps in any business folks! 😀
