We’ve been to Mercato once and we didn’t enjoy much the setting probably because we went there at high noon when the sun is on its mightiest and apart from it I didn’t personally enjoy the experience because of a not-so-good encounter we had had with B around. We planned to come back for the Midnight Mercato but it didn’t happen anytime.
Three Sundays ago, we first had our Cucina Andare experience –labeled as the First Food Truck Market that sited at the Glorietta Open Park. At first I was hesitant to have a meal but as we walk around and smell food I say we cannot go home without sampling any from the food stalls. 😀
After a quick round we got our first Cucina Andare meal at B Wings. I love it because it was cheap but I find it too spicy even though its mild flavored only. Value for your money I would definitely come back for it. 😀
Leoncio figuring out what to eat next…
What made us stayed late during our first visit was the live acoustic performances, it’s a perfect chill out place after all.
On the second visit which happened last Sunday only, husband and I were able to get a good look around. I don’t know but the pork BBQ everywhere was so tempting the same way the Roast Beef was waving at me to go and indulge, a little won’t hurt. I gave in and asked the husband to get us an order of both for dinner.
moi enjoying the night
Sorry but the name of the stall slipped my head already (insert short memory loss here) but I love both of our orders because it’s oh so tender and flavorful and cheap –2 Pork BBQ+Rice at P70 and Roast Beef+Rice at P130. We also had an order of Crunchy Belly from Carlos Kitchen, not the cheapest but absolutely mouth-watering. 🙂
And I was saved from getting my sugar fix at the nearby Starbucks. I got the two small cakes for P150, Red Velvet and Caramel something (actually its banana-flavored inside) from Med Chef’s.
Now if you can’t get enough, try Cakes by K collection of delectable cakes. We tried this during our first visit and for its very affordable price of P80 per slice get yourself not just one. Hehehe….
Load up some beer, its available at P60+ per bottle. Because Cucina Andare is conveniently located at the heart of Ayala Center I see us frequenting the place (especially that Manila weather these days is windy and cold and I love it that way 😀 ), just the perfect venue for catching up and in our case pigging-out even during late nights. The place opens from Friday-Sunday from 4pm-3am. 🙂
