the new leaf of January is my Month!

Ta’s send-off at Greenbelt Cafés

Last night I had a blast with old time friends. It was mini get together, send-off party for my good friend Tating, who by this writing is waiting her flight back to Ireland.

Two weeks ago, she went home to celebrate her youngest 1st Birthday, which yours truly was a guest 🙂 . I remember during her March homecoming, she invited us to have dinner at La Carmela. It’s always my enjoyment to see her every time she is in country because she is dear to me and we had so much memory to recount during our much younger years 🙂 .

Anyway, I set the meet up and invited few friends. It was almost the same group minus G plus PB this time.  The venue I chose is one of Tating’s favorite eatery at Greenbelt.


Yes! It’s Café Breton. I had second thought and was considering the Bistro Group a day ago, well, my heart desired on French crepes won over 🙂 .

The favorite set,

chicken breast fillet topped with asparagus and cheese sauce on whole-wheat sauce Php157.50

Tating, B and PB got themselves Breton Mozzarella Burger.

And we had my much-loved crepe, La Pinay!


We stayed long even after we finished our plates.

It was like the old times, more stories about life, about our families, about people we all knew (tsismis! hehehe 🙂 ).

It was because B felt sleepy we decided to leave the place. Well, I cannot blame him, the mood at Café Breton is homey and country, relaxing and all that you want to stretch out and yawn 🙂 .

Nevertheless, Café Breton would always be a choice for groupie like us 🙂 .

Going out with these friends rarely happen these days so every time we had the chance we make the most of the time.

Tating easily suggested the Café Havana, which is just alongside with Café Breton.

We chose to dine al fresco this time so we can feel the air (?) and to avoid the hint of getting sleepy.

The boys had rhum cola, Tating had fruit shake and I had lemonade. We paired our drinks with Tapas (finger food).

Café Havana is a perfect place to chill out that is if you want some dancing and drinking. However, for somebody like me who had retired from the nightlife it may not be a good spot, occasionally it may for me 🙂 .

We stayed late, enjoying the mood, the company. I wish time would slow down so we would not say goodnight easily. I look forward again next year for Tating’s homecoming; it would be our pleasure to see her over and over again.

I wish her safe trip back to the European continent.

Will be missing you dear 🙂 !
